Remotescape: Kaleidescape remote control app for iPad & iPhone
13/Jul/2011 10:10 Filed in: New Products
The world’s premier home entertainment system, Kaleidescape, is now even better with the Remotescape app for Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Browse your movie and music library, view cover art, and control what’s playing, all on your Apple iOS device!
Remotescape is a complete wireless remote control for every feature of the Kaleidescape System. It combines the beautiful touch-based interface of the Apple iPad and iPhone with the rich movie and music data that the Kaleidescape System is renowned for. Remotescape provides a compelling control interface that uniquely complements Kaleidescape’s whole-home entertainment systems.
Remotescape Features
- View, search, and play all your movies and music: Browse and search all of your Kaleidescape movies and albums, by title, genre or artist. The familiar Cover Art view displays all of your movies and album covers for you to scroll around with the flick of a finger.
- Customized iPad version with full-screen control: Remotescape for iPad is designed to leverage the larger screen size, higher resolution, and new user interface features of the Apple iPad. It includes many enhancements that extend the rich remote control experience pioneered by Remotescape for the iPhone and iPod touch.
- Zero setup—automatic system discovery: Remotescape automatically finds your Kaleidescape System on your network for you. There’s nothing to set up—just install Remotescape from the Apple App Store, and pick the music or movie zone you want to use.
- Navigate the Kaleidescape on-screen display: Take control of your Kaleidescape System with the unique heads-up navigation pad in the Remote tab. Enjoy easy one-handed operation with your thumb on the navigation pad.
- Browse and play music from any room: Browse and search your Kaleidescape music library right on your iPhone or iPod touch. Control music playback from any room in your home, with or without a video display.
- See what’s playing now: Control movie and music playback with the Now Playing tab. Use familiar remote control buttons including fast forward, reverse, stop, pause, play and more. View rich details and cover art for the currently-playing movie or album.
- Control the volume right from inside the Remotescape app: You can configure Remotescape to control the volume in any of the Kaleidescape zones of your home. Once configured, volume control works from every iPad and iPhone device in your home: no need to configure each iOS device separately. Even better, volume control in Remotescape uses your existing IP network, so no additional hardware is required to control network-enabled amplifiers and other components.
