Today Sonos is excited to launch a public beta for Android users and announce our upcoming software release with enhancements to both PLAYBAR and the Sonos app.
The soundbar for music lovers just got betterOur favorite artists never stop evolving, and neither do our products. Our upcoming software release will deliver on this promise by improving on PLAYBAR’s category-leading music sound performance.
PLAYBAR will play music the way it was meant to be heard. Using stereo imaging to improve the soundstage, along with updates to the EQ and volume balance, so that even the slightest nuances in the music are positioned more clearly, with a more immersive, natural sound.
Multiple account support for music servicesMusic services are constantly adapting to the way your customers listen to music. Personalization rapidly leads to a world where every member of the family has their own account and expects to be able to listen to it easily at home.
Our upcoming release will allow every family member to add their account of the same service to a Sonos system. Switching between accounts is easy, and up to 32 accounts of the same music service can live together in one Sonos household.
Music that’s simpler to find, play and controlIn addition, our upcoming release includes the ability to use one search to find anything they want across any source – including the music stored on phones and tablets.
Customers with Android controllers will be able to control their Sonos system instantly and effortlessly, with direct access to controls on the lock screen.
